1. Repair of lightly damaged lead-acid battery housing with adhesive technology

(1) Applicability of repairing the battery case with slight damage due to the bonding technique: The adhesive technique is mainly used to repair the resin-soluble lead-acid battery case. Although there are many solvent-soluble engineering plastics, In terms of comprehensive performance, the engineering plastics that are currently selected as lead-acid battery shell materials mainly include ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer) engineering plastics and SAN (styrene-acrylonitrile copolymer) engineering plastics. Introduce the repair of slight damage to the above material shell. (2) Mechanism of adhesive repair After solvent contact with soluble engineering plastics, it quickly penetrates into the interior under the action of affinity, the surface becomes soft, and the engineering plastic of the same material is infiltrated with solvent. Under the effect of the adhesive, the molecules of the adhesive interface will permeate each other and melt with each other. After the solvent is volatilized, the adhesive will become a whole. With external force (plus a certain pressure), the adhesive strength will be higher.

2. Preparation of glue

According to the ratio of 100ml + 25g ABS (or SAN) plastic granules of butanone, the glue liquid is prepared. After weighing, the ingredients container is shaken and the solid granules are completely dissolved and become a homogeneous solution. After use, the glue is sealed after use. Can be used on a regular basis.

3. Preparation of repaired lead acid battery case

Lead-acid battery casing damage wipe clean, adhesive surface can not have dust, powder particles, oil and electrolyte and should be flat.

4. Take a clean ABS (or SAN) plastic plate of appropriate dimensions (the dimensions of the plates are greater than the cracks by more than 5 mm in all directions, and the thickness is comparable to the battery case wall.

5. Apply a proper amount of glue to the damaged area of the lead-acid battery case and the area around the periphery of 5mm, and then press the cut plastic plate tightly against the damage of the battery case where the glue is applied. Hours later, after the glue is completely dry, it is checked for leaks. It can be considered that the repair is complete and can be submitted for use. It should be noted that the adhesive surface must be flat and the adhesive must be pressed flat.

6. If the battery is repaired before the restoration of a lot of electrolyte leakage, should be used in addition to the concentration of sulfuric acid electrolyte, can be submitted to use after charge activation.
